Kolkata: Following the recent victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is now strategizing for the West Bengal Assembly elections to be held in 2021. The BJP has come up with a master plan for the West Bengal mission ahead of next year’s elections. A total of 23 districts are reported to be divided into North Bengal, Nawadwip, Kolkata, Medinipur and Rareh Banga zones. The five state leaders who have been appointed as observers are Sayant Basu, Biswapriyo Chowdhury, Sanjay Singh, Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato and Raju Banerjee. The supervisor for the zone from North Bengal is Sayant Basu. The zones include Kochbehar, Alipurdar, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur and Malda. Vishwapriyo Chowdhury is the observer for the Nawadwip zone. Under his jurisdiction are Morsidabad, Nadia and North 24 Parganas. The observer for the Kolkata zone is Sanjay Chowdhury. He is overseeing the Kolkata and South 26 Parganas areas. Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato is the supervisor of Medinipur zone. He understands Hohra, Hugli, Purba Medinipur and West Medinipur. Similarly, Raju Banerjee is the observer of the Rareh Banga Zone. The area includes Purlia, Bankura, Jhargram, Purba Bardwan, Pashchim Bardwan and Birbhum areas.
