Jaipur: Jaipur Sadar police on Thursday evening seized 257 kg of smuggled cannabis from a mini truck near Patraput pole and arrested four people and arrested them. Baliarbhuj Sahu, 32, and Subrata Kumar Pradhan, 32, of Deogarh district, were spotted smuggling cannabis into a white Tata 406 in Jaipur city near Lamput at around 7 pm on November 19. Based on the information, Mahakud Sadalbal went to the spot near Patraput pole and stopped the vehicle and four people in it. According to the law, the mini-truck, which was searched in the presence of an executive magistrate and other witnesses, weighed 257 kilograms of cannabis and was valued at around Rs 2.5 million. He also seized 409 white trucks, five mobile phones and Rs 37,000 in cash, which was not registered with cannabis.
