New Delhi: The India-Australia Test series will start from Thursday. Of the six matches, the first Test to be played in Adelaide is scheduled for day and night. The Indian team is well prepared for this. India did not win the three-day Pink Ball practice match, which ended on Sunday, but were not particularly worried. Since the match, however, India captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane have received a number of positives. Five of them were placed here. In both innings of the Pink Ball practice match, Shubman Gill batted at No. 3. The other contestants in the race for the position were left behind by Gill. Kyle Rahul could get a chance if the team management thinks that Mayank Agrawal’s opening partner Prithvi will be dropped. In his 43 and 45 innings, Gill was able to accurately determine his off-stump and was not in trouble for playing short and bouncing balls.
