New Delhi: Forty per cent of Indians are willing to be vaccinated against Covid-16, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Bardhan said today. “This reflects the public’s trust in the Modi government and the country’s scientists,” said Dr. Bardhan, quoting the Edlmanman Pierce Trust 4 Barometer Survey 2021, which was conducted in 24 countries. He said preparations had been completed across the country just days before India’s emergency vaccination campaign began. Only the health care workers will be vaccinated in this first phase of the vaccination campaign. Some European countries are hesitant to take the vaccine. Vaccines of these two doses will boost confidence among others. However, the Ministry of Health and other experts have repeatedly assured people of its effectiveness and not to be intimidated.
