New Delhi: Dinesh Khara, the senior managing director of State Bank of India, will be the next head of the bank. The Banks Board has nominated him for the post. Rajneesh Kumar, who is currently the chairman of the bank, will end his term in the first week of October. Dinesh will be appointed chairman of the bank in his place. In addition to Dinesh, the Board of Directors of the Banks has also selected the name of MDG CSS Setty of another government bank as a reserved candidate. Based on Dinesh’s performance and experience, his name has been selected for the post of State Bank chief. Bureau members held talks with four MDs for the position of chairman of State Bank. State Bank’s MDDs Arijit Basu and Ashwini Bhatia also took part in the interview.
