New Delhi: Elections to the Bihar Assembly are set to begin on November 28. The Election Commission said in a statement that by-elections would be held simultaneously for 45 vacant seats in the country. It has one Lok Sabha seat and four Assembly seats. By-elections will also be held in the vacant Balasore and Tirthol assembly constituencies in Odisha. Balasore MLA Madan Mohan Dutt and Tirthol MLA Bishnu Das have recently passed away, leaving the two seats vacant.
With the Bihar assembly and by-elections in all the states at the same time, it will be easier to deploy the Central Armed Police Force.
