New Delhi: More Goods and Services Tax (GST) was levied in both countries and states in September. In Odisha, GST of Rs 236 crore was collected this month, which is 18 per cent more than last year. In September 2016, the state collected Rs 2015 crore in GST. At the national level, the GST was Rs 75.60 crore in September. Of this, the central GST is Rs 14,61 crore, the state GST Rs 23,131 crore, the integrated GST Rs 4,68 crore and Rs 6,128 crore in the form of cess. A total of Rs 22.72 crore was collected from the imported goods and IGST worth Rs. In the form of regular settlements, the government has given Rs 21,240 crore from IGST to CGSST and Rs 14.7 crore to SGSST. After regular settlements, the CGST amounted to Rs 37,001 crore in September and the SGGST to Rs 40,124 crore. At the national level, GST has been collected by 8 per cent this year compared to last year. GST on imports increased by 102 per cent, while imports on domestic goods increased by 105 per cent. This year, Rs 32,182 crore was collected, Rs 42,151 crore was collected in May, Rs 40,617 crore in June, Rs 6,722 crore in July, Rs 7,64 crore in August and Rs 45,90 crore in September. Due to the effects of the corona epidemic, the GST collection has decreased every month from April to September compared to last year.
