Sarja: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the only IPL match on Monday against former champions Kolkata Knight Riders (4KR7). RCR won the match by 42 runs after KKR4’s batting failed. With that, he moved up from fourth to third place in the points table with his fifth win in six matches. KKR, on the other hand, fell from third to fourth with the third loss from the same number of matches. RCB lost 18 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, while KKR lost 4 wickets and scored only 112 runs. It then continued to lose wickets at regular intervals instead of forming partnerships. With the exception of Shubman Gill (34, 25 balls, 3 fours, 1 six), no other batsman understood the pace, bounce and turn of the RCB bowler at all. With captain Dinesh Karthik (1), Nitish Rana (4), Ian Morgan (4) and expensive player Pat Cummins (1) were limited to one point. Two explosive heroes, Andre Russell and Rahul Tripathi, scored 17 runs each. RCB captain Virat Kohli took four wickets while everyone took at least one wicket. Chris Morris and Washington were nice but took two wickets each to hurt KKR7 more. KKR4, which failed to counter the frequent attacks by the RCB bowling force, eventually surrendered.
