May we be able to experience the waking state through Karmandriya and Jnandriya, guided by the five aspects of the mental and spiritual personality and the five aspects of the soul. Without one of these, our experience of the world would be meaningless. When understood in this way, the seemingly ugly becomes rational, meaningful and relatable. Sitting near a Guru and studying the Upanishads is more beneficial than reading good practical books. Spirit is Brahman, Jiva is God, Jivaatma is Paramatma. Therefore, basti is the sum – it is only natural that Vedanta can be founded on this fact.
