A proposal for establishing a government medical college and university in the district was presented to the Bhadrak District Collector’s office on Thursday. After the idea, a demand letter has been issued to the District Collector on behalf of the Chief Minister.
Under the leadership of Bhadrak’s Sarvodaya Mandal president Amar Kumar Manigarahi, the workers of the joint action committee and the public jointly presented a demand letter to the district chief minister on Thursday. Claims have been issued for establishing a government medical college and a university in Bhadrak. Under the leadership of Sarvodaya Mandal President Shri Manigarahi, hundreds of people protested in front of the District Collector’s office for 10 minutes from 12 to 30 minutes and peacefully requested the Chief Minister to establish a medical college and a university.
The population of Bhadrak district is more than 17 lakh and more than 12 lakh people of four coastal districts depend on Bhadrak district headquarters for treatment. But unfortunately, the public, joint action committee, Sarvodaya Mandal have been demanding and striking for 18 years, but the government is not paying attention to it. Recently, on June 11, 5 Chairman VK Pandian Medical College and University will be established very soon and promised that the people of the district will hear the good news from the Chief Minister. But he forgot our justice claim. It was expected that the government might announce it at the last moment. But the government did not listen to it. That is why the workers of the public and Sarvodaya Mandal of Bhadrak district are very sad and desperate and are humbly requesting the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to announce the establishment of a medical college and a university school as soon as possible and introduce themselves as a leader of the people.
