Sambalpur: A gold shop was looted from the main market in Burla at noon. It is alleged that the robbery took place at Utkal Jewelery in Indira Chowk, Burla police station. According to the complaint, two mischievous shopkeepers demanded a nose ring. The miscreants returned after looting the jewelry at the counter while the shopkeeper was showing the nose flower. The shop owner alleged that about Rs 1.5 lakh had been looted, although the exact value of the robbery was not known. As the Burla police filed a case and launched an investigation, the scientific team arrived at the scene and searched.
