New Delhi: A tender called by the Ministry of Railways for the construction of a half-speed ‘Bande Bharat’ train has been canceled. The ministry aimed to build four trains. Six companies submitted bids for this. The only foreign company involved in the project was CRPRC Pioneer Electric (India) Pvt Ltd, a company with ties to China. It was at the forefront of bidding. The tender has been canceled after it became known. As a result, China is in for another big shock. The tender was canceled by the ministry. Revised bids will be called for this within a week. Make in India will be given priority, the ministry said.
Chinese company CR4RCC Yangji Electric Company Limited, a joint venture between Gurugram’s Pioneer Phil-Made-Pvt Ltd, set up a joint venture in 2015. That is the Electric India of the CR4RC Pioneer. The government wants any domestic company to get the job. As a result, the Make in India campaign will have a huge impact. But China’s CIRRC overtook others in the bid process. The tender was called on July 10 by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, Indian Railways. Five Indian companies participated in the bid process. These are Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Bharat Industries, Sangrur, Elektrovevs Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Medha Servo Drivers Pvt.
