New Delhi: A tender called by the Ministry of Railways for the construction of a half-speed ‘Bande Bharat’ train has been canceled. The ministry aimed to build four trains. Six companies submitted bids for this. The only foreign company involved in the project was CRPRC Pioneer Electric (India) Pvt Ltd, a company with ties to China. It was at the forefront of bidding. The tender has been canceled after it became known. As a result, China is in for another big shock. The tender was canceled by the ministry. Revised bids will be called for this within a week. Make in India will be given priority, the ministry said.
