Team India broke England’s record in Dharmachaya Test after 112 years. India defeated England by an innings and 64 runs in the fifth Test in Dharamchaya, Himachal Pradesh.
Team India won the series 4-1.

The BCCI has said that players who make up 50 per cent of the Test team in a year will be paid Rs 15 lakh per match along with match fee. Players who play more than 50 percent of Tests will be paid Rs 300 lakh along with match fee. 22.5 lakhs per match for players who have played 75 per cent Tests and players who have played more than 75 per cent Tests will get Rs 45 lakhs per match along with match fee.
BCCI Secretary Jai Shah announced in this regard after Team India won the series. The purpose of this announcement is to further strengthen the financial position of the players.
