Bhubaneswar: Petrol and diesel prices have been rising steadily in the country for the last 10 days. The rate has been rising steadily for the past four days. In ten days, petrol prices have gone up by around Rs 3 per liter and diesel by Rs 3.5 per liter. As a result, petrol prices in Bhubaneswar reached Rs 80 per liter and diesel Rs 7 per liter, setting a new record. Petrol prices were hiked by 35 paise and diesel by 37 paise on Thursday compared to Wednesday. In some other cities in the state, petrol prices are higher than in Bhubaneswar. Malkangiri district has the highest rates.
