Drone use has been used to assess crop damage. Drones will be used in 100 districts with the highest rice and wheat production in the country, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said. Beneficiaries of the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme will benefit from the decision and will soon be able to receive the sum insured. Assessing crop losses due to natural disasters or other causes is a complex task.
