New Delhi: The 23 senior Congress leaders who wrote a letter to Sonia Gandhi questioning the party’s organizational status and the Congress leadership have also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s leadership skills. “The situation is not improving in the 135-year-old Congress party,” a disgruntled leader told NDTV. “Even under the leadership of Rahul, the party is unlikely to win the 2024 elections,” he said. “We are not in a position to say that the failure of the party in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections will not happen again in 2024,” he said. After the 2014 election defeat, Rahul stepped down as party leader and Sonia Gandhi became interim president.
