Bhubaneswar: Five former MLAs who resigned as Manipur Congress and MLAs have joined the BJP today. The five former MLAs joined the BJP in the presence of party national vice-president Vaijayanth Panda, national general secretary Rammadhav and Manipur chief minister NB Biren Singh. Mr. Panda added these leaders to the team through the North. After joining the BJP, they met party national president JP Nadda.
Notably, Union leaders and former Union Minister Manoj Sinha have been tasked with resolving the recent political crisis in Manipur. The BJP won the Astha vote in Manipur. These legislators abstained from voting in the Astha and resigned from their posts.
