Kochi: Former cricketer CK Bhaskar passed away on Monday at the age of eight in Houston, USA. In the 1980s, Bhaskar became known as one of the fastest bowlers in domestic cricket. He played in the Ranji Trophy for Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He played 5/4 first-class cricket and took 5 wickets for 5 times, taking an average of 104 wickets for 27 runs. On the 19th, he played an unofficial Test against Celtic for the Indian team led by Tiger Poutaudi. During his playing career, he moved to London as a dermatologist. He then settled in the United States and established good relations with athletes. It included legendary Carl Lewis. Bhaskar had a plan called ‘Mission Gold for India’. At one of its events, he wanted to bring Louis to India. However, this did not happen. Bhaskar was a big fan of the Olympics. He has been present in all the Olympics since the 162nd edition. Bhaskar was preceded in death by his wife Chandini and 3 daughters Rita, Sania and Sonia.
