Bhubaneswar: Hindi months have been observed in state-owned banks. The Hindi Day was jointly organized by the Union Bank of India Bhubaneswar and the Cuttack Regional Office at the Staff Training Center in Bhubaneswar. Joining Dr. Subash Pani, President of the Council of Official Languages of India, as the Chief Guest, he said that Hindi is the fourth most widely used language in the world. The occasion was attended by Ramakant Pradhan, General Manager, Bhubaneswar Area, Bank Nayak, Cuttack Regional Chief Bhubaneswar Nayak, Bhubaneswar Regional Chief Shovan Sengupta and Balasore Regional Chief Shankar Hembrum. The winners of the essay writing, debate, poetry and banking terms organized for Hindi Day were awarded.
Similarly, the Bank of India Bhubaneswar region has observed the Hindi month from August 16 to September 16. The bank organized music, poetry readings, news readings, slogans and debates on the occasion, and the winners were awarded prizes. The event was attended by Priyabrata Patnaik, Regional Manager, Bank, Bharat Barad, Deputy Regional Manager, and RCC Das, who were present on the occasion. All employees decided to work in Hindi.
