MUMBAI: The fifth-generation (5-G) mobile phone service in India is likely to launch Reliance Jio Infocom in the second half of next year. Mukesh Ambani, president of the company, made the announcement while addressing the fourth edition of the India Mobile Congress. “The service will be developed with indigenous know-how,” he said. India needs to improve its policy to launch 5G mobile phone services in advance. However, he has promised that Geo will play a leading role in the revolution in India’s 5G 4G mobile phone service. Reliance Jio says 5-G mobile phone service could be launched once the spectrum goes on sale in the country, while competitors Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are saying something different.
