Karachi: Pakistan dominated by the third day of the first Test against South Africa. The home side took a crucial lead of 156 runs in the first innings, bringing South Africa’s second innings to 18/7. The touring South Africa are in danger of defeat as they are leading by just 24 runs with seven wickets in hand. Pakistan played from 306/4 on Thursday morning but added a valuable 40 before losing the last two wickets. Yasir Saha (38 *, 38 balls), along with Naiman Ali (24) and Hassan Ali (21), took the credit. Naiman and Yasir added 55 runs for the last wicket. Kagiso Rabada bowled Hassan Ali and joined the 200-wicket club. He was the third fastest man to complete 200 wickets compared to Dale Steyn and Alan Donald. Steyn has taken 38 Tests and Alan has taken 42 Tests, while Rabada has touched the milestone from 7 Tests. Markram and Elgar scored six runs for the first wicket for South Africa, who were 156 behind in the first innings, and South Africa, who played the second innings. Markram and Rashi Vayan Der Daseen then added 127 runs for the second wicket to take the team to a strong position, while the visiting team fell to Aduara due to a double shock by Yasir Saha. Yasir has shown all-round efficiency by dismissing Dashen and Fap du Plessis along with Elgar.
