New Delhi: The Supreme Court today dismissed an appeal filed against NIT and JEE exam administration. A bench of Justice Arun Mishra dismissed the application for the suspension of the Medical Entrance Examination NET and the Engineering Entrance Examination JEE MENS. The apex court rejected the appeal and allowed the trial to take place on the scheduled date. Rejecting the appeal, the Supreme Court bench questioned whether everything in the country should be shut down. Should such a precious year be wasted?
According to sources, the proposed JEE MEN and NIT UG test was postponed in September due to an increase in COVID-16 infection. Eleven students from 11 states filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking a stay of the exam, which was rejected by the Supreme Court today. The JEE exam will be held from September 1 to September 6 In addition, the NIT is scheduled to take place on September 13. Through this notification, the NTA decided to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, April 2020 and the NIT UG in September.
