The time is approaching, the crowd is increasing. As the Mahakumbh is approaching, the crowd is getting unbearable day by day in Prayagraj. Since it is already Shivaratri, the crowd is expected to be even more serious. Because there are only five days left for the Mahakumbh to end. The holy Mahakumbh will end on February 26. Therefore, lakhs of devotees are gathering in the Sangam for a holy dip and bath in the last week.
Today is the 40th day of the Mahakumbh. This Kumbh Mela, which started on January 13, will end on February 26 and the administration has said that about 58 crore devotees have already taken a holy dip in the holy Sangam. However, since this is the last week for the Kumbh Mela to end, it is estimated that by the time the Kumbh Mela ends, i.e. by February 26, the number of devotees who have taken a dip will cross 65 crore.
Meanwhile, the crowd on the roads has been seen in the last week. As lakhs of devotees are reaching Prayagraj, the local administration has tightened the arrangements. From today till the 26th, the entire Prayagraj will be kept under tight security and attention has been paid to prevent any untoward incident.
Vehicles coming from outside the district have been restricted. More security personnel have been deployed to control the crowd. Meanwhile, strict vigil has been kept on the ghats to prevent any untoward incident. Since it is Shivaratri, the traffic system has become the biggest challenge. Therefore, diverting the vehicles has now become a big challenge for the UP government.
