1079/5000Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that the “lockdown” will continue across West Bengal till September 30 next year in view of the infection of Kovid-18 or Novel Coronavirus, and the entire state will be “shutdown” for three days this afternoon. However, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has allowed the state to start limited metro trains from September 7.

According to a directive issued by the Home Department of the West Bengal government today, all educational institutions in the state – schools, colleges and coaching centers – will be closed till the end of September. Cinema halls, swimming pools and amusement parks are also closed and public rallies cannot be held. Metro trains have been allowed to be launched in the state in a limited way from September 6, in compliance with all the necessary Covida 6-18 rules. In West Bengal, on the other hand, full shutdowns have been announced on September 9, September 11 and September 12. Private offices and commercial establishments will be closed at this time. Public and private transportation will be closed during this shutdown or full shutdown. In addition, flights from Kolkata airport have also been suspended on certain days.
