BALESWAR: The most wanted drug addict, Muna alias Wasid Ahmed Khan, 27, was arrested by the Special Squad of the district police and Sahadevakhunta police from Ardbazar Mosque Street in Balasore today. Rs 23 lakh in cash, 75 grams of brown sugar and three mobile phones were seized from him. However, Bapuna alias Karthik Das, who is said to be the right-hand man of the accused Muna, was able to escape by slapping the police. A case has been registered in police station case no. 325/20 and Muna has been taken to court. According to police, Muna Khan, a resident of Ardbazar Mosque, is the son of the notorious drug mafia Sekj Raja. The STFF found out that his family, friends and relatives were involved in the drug trade after the arrest of King Sekh in Dhalajahar. For this, the STFF kept a close eye on everyone. This afternoon, Muna and his trusted accomplice Ardbazar Mosque Street’s Bapuna alias Karthik Das were preparing to leave with brown sugar and a bag full of money, according to special sources. Soon after, Mr. Routh’s special squad of the district police and a joint team of Sahadevakhunta police raided the area. The door to Muna’s house was immediately closed after police learned he was surrounded. A woman opened the door after police repeatedly knocked on the door. At that moment, Munai and Bapuna jumped off the roof with brown sugar and a bag full of money. Lane street cop persecute newborns. However, Munai fell and was caught by the police, while Bapuna grabbed the money bag and brown sugar and threw it away. Three mobile phones were seized from Muna at the time of his arrest.
