Mumbai: The country’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has amassed a fortune after being declared a lockdown. He is said to have earned Rs 80 crore per hour. Mukesh, who has been ranked as India’s number one richest man for the ninth consecutive year, has seen his fortune rise by Rs 2,6,000 crore to Rs 4,57,000 crore. Global investors like Facebook, Google and Intel have invested around Rs 1.5 lakh crore in Mukesh’s digital company Geo platforms.The company has raised around Rs 55,000 crore by issuing Wright7. He is now investing in Reliance Retail, a subsidiary of Reliance Retail. Two global investments, Silver Silver Lake and KKR4, have invested around Rs 13,000 crore in Reliance Retail. This year’s Hurun Rich List includes 429 people with assets worth more than Rs 1,000 crore in 2020. The number of such people has tripled in the last five years. There are 16 people with assets worth more than $ 1 billion. The number of such people has tripled since 2013. Of the 429 richest people in the 2020 list, 426 have grown their wealth, while 226 have lost their wealth. Forty-five people have left the list. Six occupants were killed. A total of 182 new people have joined the list. With a net worth of about Rs 32,400 crore, Smita V Krishna is the richest woman in India.
