NEW DELHI: South Korea’s Samsung Samsung will invest Rs 6,625 crore in Uttar Pradesh to relocate mobile and IT display manufacturing companies from China to India, a Uttar Pradesh government spokesman said. The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to provide special incentives and facilities to ‘Samsung Display Naida Pvt Ltd’ to build a manufacturing plant in Naida. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday. It is the third such factory in the world. In addition to indirect employment, it is expected to employ 510 direct jobs. Naida also has a Samsung mobile phone factory. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in 2014.
