Bhubaneswar: Famous Oriya film and stage actor Ajit Das has drowned in Panchbhuta. His funeral was held at Satyanagar Cemetery in Bhubaneswar. On this occasion he was awarded the Guard of Honor. His eldest daughter was burnt to death. He died yesterday while undergoing treatment. He was 71 years old at the time of his death.
She was born on January 20 in Karanjia, Mayurbhanj district. In it, he played the villainous role. He has acted in about 40 films, including Dunya, Tundbaid, I Am You and He, When Love Season Comes, What We Have, and Abhimanyu. His film ‘Hakimbabu’, made under the banner of ‘Eastern Media Limited’, won the National Film Award. He also won the State Film Award for Best Actor for that film.He retired as a department head at Utkal Sangeet Natak College. He also set up a theater company called Ajit and created many new artists.
