New Delhi: Four major railway projects in the state will be completed by March next year. This information was given by the Information Office today. These projects in Odisha are Khordha Road4-Barang (32 km), Manoharpur-Bandamunda Third Line (30 km), Sambalpur-Talcher doubling (14 km), Sambalpur-Titilagarh doubling (108 km), Raipur-Titilagarh and 203 km Daitari-Tamka-Jakhpura Duplication (14 km). A total of 57 projects have been identified in the country to complete the work by the end of the current financial year and the end of the next financial year. It has six projects in Odisha. In the fiscal year 2021-22, the budget has set a target of Rs 2,15,059 crore for the railways. Out of this, Rs 1,06,100 crore has been allocated as budget allocation. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced this in the budget. Among the new projects, Rs 80,632 crore has been earmarked for new railways, Rs 24,118 crore for doubling, Rs 5,243 crore for traffic arrangements and Rs 4,122 crore for railway overbridges / railway underbridges. 159% has been allocated for traffic and 52% for new railways. There are currently 18,000 railway overbridges and underbridges in the country. The railways are focusing on building new bridges. The budget also focuses on improving the terminal system, increasing the speed of trains, improving the signaling system, improving the convenience of passengers and protecting the overbridges and underbridges.
