New Delhi: The central government today released the startup rankings of the states. Odisha is one of the leaders in the state. Odisha is in this category along with Bihar, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Gujarat is the best performing state while Karnataka and Kerala are among the top performing states. The aspiring leaders include Haryana, Jharkhand, Punjab, Telangana and Uttarakhand. The emerging startups include Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
The names of the leading states are also listed in seven key criteria. The institutional leadership includes Karnataka, Kerala and Odisha. Similarly, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha and Uttarakhand are named in the Champion Regulations. Five other criteria, such as Procurement4 Leaders, Incubation Hubs, Siding Innovation Leaders, Scaling Innovation Leaders, and Awareness Standards, are among the states that have performed well. Union Industries Minister Piyush Goyal today unveiled the startup rankings of the states on behalf of the Union Department of Industrial Broadcasting and Internal Affairs (DPIIT). Organizational assistance is based on the seven major reform areas, including the Easy Rules of Law, the Government Procurement Act, which covers 30 types of issues, including alcohol, incubation assistance, seed funding, venture funding, and awareness. This is the second edition of Ranking. This time around, the report covers different levels of state and union territories. Twenty-two states and three union territories were taken into account in the preparation of the ranking. More than 40,000 phone calls were made to various stakeholders using 11 different languages. The expert committee prepared the rankings based on the views of the phone call and other matters. The rankings of the states are divided into five categories: best performers, top performers, leaders, aspiring dealers and emerging startup ecosystems. On the occasion, DPIIT Secretary Dr Guruprasad Mohapatra said that more than four lakh jobs have been created in the country for the startup system.
