Rourkela: Some senior leaders, leaders and activists of the party, dissatisfied with the BJD’s activities in Sundergarh district, have kind of blocked the party’s program. They have not been seen at party events as before. Dissatisfaction is growing within the district that the group in charge is ignoring them. Not only that, they are not invited even during the district supervisors’ visit to Sundargarh. Many leaders and activists remain silent, fearing action, despite protests from the leaders. Dissatisfaction among leaders and activists has intensified since the recent district president election. Some leaders have complained that various programs are being carried out without taking the leaders and staff together. They have also drawn the attention of the team supremo in this regard.
A glimpse of the factional strife was seen today at a hotel near Rourkela railway station. According to credible sources, the meeting was attended by former Rajgangpur MLA and party state vice-president Mangala Kisan, Sundergarh constituency BJD Lok Sabha candidate Sunita Bishwal, Talsara MLA candidate Stefan Surin, former Rourkela mayor. Some other leaders and activists of Rajgangpur BJD leader Jitu Das. The meeting discussed in detail where they were being ignored.
