New Delhi: Tata is stepping up its presence in the airline business. Tata, which is keen to buy privatized Air India, has now bought another 32.7 per cent stake in Air Asia India. Tata bought the stake from Malaysian company Air Asia Berhard for $ 34.9 million, or about Rs 27.10 crore. Air Asia now owns 51 per cent of Tata Sons, up from 43.7 per cent in the coming days. AirAsia’s shareholding, on the other hand, fell from 7 percent to 18.33 percent.
