New Delhi: The central government has increased the family pension limit from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1,25,000. Pension Administration Minister Dr Jitendra Singh gave the information. According to the Central Administrative Service (Pension) Rules, Rule 14 of Article 142, if both husband and wife are in government service and are subject to this rule, their surviving children and parents will be entitled to two installments of family pension in the event of their death. At present, the maximum salary increase is Rs 2.5 lakh per month as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. Therefore, the amount is set at 50 per cent or Rs 1,25,000 and Rs 30,000 or Rs 30,000 or Rs 75,000.
