Bhubaneswar: The son-in-law stabbed his father-in-law to death over a family dispute. The unfortunate incident took place in the Laxmisagar police station area today. The father-in-law, who was injured in the stabbing, has been admitted to Capitol Hospital in critical condition. Lakshmisagar police arrested the son-in-law before he fled. The accused was identified as Sadananda Mahar of Jankia Siko area, Kulisahi, Bhubaneswar. The injured father-in-law is Ramesh Nayak of Khordha Balugaon Brahmakushdiha village. Sadananda was reportedly married to Ramesh’s daughter Nandini less than five months ago. Today, after receiving a phone call from daughter Nandini, Ramesh and his wife Baidehi approached their daughter-in-law, who lives in Kulisahi, Laxmisagar police station area. For some reason there was a confrontation between the father-in-law and the son-in-law. In anger, Sadananda insulted his father-in-law Ramesh and stabbed him. Laxmisagar police reached there and rescued Ramesh and took him to the hospital and arrested Sadananda. Police also seized a knife used in the attack.
