Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area was created off the north-east coast of the Bay of Bengal this morning (Sunday). It is now located in the area concerned. It is expected to move west-northwest in the next two to three days, and is likely to intensify in the northwestern Bay of Plenty and in the next 24 hours. As a result, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in the state till the next 23 days. Mayurbhanj, Baleshwar, Cuttack, Kendujhar, Anugul, Devgarh, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Sonpur and Balangir districts are also likely to receive heavy rainfall warnings due to heavy rains. Similarly, in Puri, Khordha, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Koraput and Malkangiri districts, yellow or yellow warnings have been issued for all these districts.
On the other hand, Bargarh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Devgarh districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall by noon on the 21st, with red warnings or red warnings issued for all these districts. Orange warnings or orange warnings have been issued for all of these districts due to the possibility of rain. Similarly, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur and Dhenkanal districts are likely to receive heavy rains due to heavy rainfall. Yellow or yellow warnings have been issued for all these districts.
