Bhubaneswar: Four major companies in the state are active in mobile services. These are BS7N8L, Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Ideas. The four companies earned Rs 1,222 crore from the state in July-September this year (the second quarter). Reliance Jio has earned more than half of that. According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Airtel has earned Rs 435 crore, Vodafone Idea Rs 80 crore and BS7N8L Rs 80 crore in the three months. Companies now receive revenue from mobile services, such as rentals, calls, SMS, data and value-added services. Companies receive about three percent of their revenue from the data service. Revenue from Kalou is in second place. The income from the SMS is very low. In states like Odisha, on the other hand, every postpaid customer spends 380 minutes of outgoing calls per month, while 345 minutes spend on incoming calls. They spend 45 minutes on both incoming and outgoing calls. Similarly, each prepaid customer spends an average of 435 minutes a month on outgoing calls and 8 minutes on incoming calls. Each prepaid customer spends 405 minutes a month on call.
