Cuttack: Patients at Cuttack Big Medical have been accused of waiting for months for small tests. As a result, one patient is indirectly forced to go to a private diagnostic center. Diseases of patients who are excluded from the test are doubling. No one is monitoring how far the government is working, even though the government has promised to provide various tests for free under the diagnostic scheme. As a result, employees are given 3 to 4 months to perform small tests.According to the complaint, a patient is being given 3 months for EEG examination at the SCB. The test center is run by a technician. As a result, very few patients are being tested while others are being given dates. Similarly, the NCS (Nervous Construction Study) exam has to wait for 6 months. Here, too, the test is being performed in the hopes of a technician. Patients from different wards have to go to the cardiology department for 6 months for the Doppler test, 2 months for the Thorax test, 1 month for the endoscopy, and 4 to 5 hours for the ECG in the outpatient department. While waiting for 1 month for a general ultrasound, the ELISA test for hepatitis B-positive patients has not yet begun in the SSCB. Patients have to wait 1 month for a PTA exam and up to 2 months for an eco. In many cases, patients need to be rented out and given to their relatives. Since the new Mental Health Act came into force in 2014, patients in the mental health department have not been given ECT for four years. The machines that are running have been out of order at various times. They are not repaired on time. As a result, patients are forced to go to outside centers for testing. However, Achuth Kumar Sahu and Deepak Kumar Acharya, editors of the social organization Sevaghar, complained to high-ranking officials.
