Dubai: Three IPL4 teams arrived in the UAE on Thursday to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The top three teams are Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. The Punjab and Rajasthan teams arrived in Dubai on special chartered flights under the IPL4 Biological Safety Act. The Kolkata Knight Riders later landed in their base Abu Dhabi. The players will be in a four-day blockade once they arrive. On the first, third, and sixth days, Karona will face a test. Support staff will take the test every 5 days. The winners, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, are scheduled to tour the UAE on Friday, while the remaining two teams, the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Delhi Capitals, will travel next week.
Punjab fast bowler Mohammad Sami posted on social media a photo of the UAE touring the plane on Thursday. Its title is ‘Aapne Munde of 4 to Dubai’. The Rajasthan Royals also visited the UAE on their Twitter page. The team posted a photo of its players preparing to leave for the UAE. Its title is ‘UAE Ready’. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings will visit the UAE on Friday, its CEO Kashi Vishwanathan said. The 13th edition of the IPL will be played for 53 days from September 14 to November 10 in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai, UAE.

Before leaving for the UAE, the Rajasthan Royals players were seen arriving at the airport wearing PPE kits. Among them, Robin Uthappa and Jaydev Unadkat posed for photos. Unadkat also shared a photo of himself on Instagram.
