In addition, the code of conduct for Balasore and Tirthol constituencies has been implemented from today. The Balasore Sadar constituency was vacant after the death of BJP MLA Madan Mohan Dutt. Later, Tirthol MLA Vishnu Das also died. As a result, two 18-seat Odisha Assembly seats are vacant. The three major political parties in the state, the BJD, the BJP and the Congress, have begun campaigning for the seat. No party has been able to determine the name of the candidate. The BJP is planning to sway the constituency on the basis of developmental work, while the BJP is trying to get people to vote on the central government’s move, including allegations against the state government. Similarly, the Congress has informed that both the BJD and the BJP will go to the people and ask for votes on how they are moving forward with vicious relations and both are acting against the interests of the state.
It is noteworthy that the commission has made it clear that the election will take place amid a complete crackdown. Has issued regulations for both candidates and voters. Coverage cuts will be observed in all areas, from the submission of nomination papers to the campaign. Emphasis is placed on the use of masks, sanitizers and globes. Voters will be given a token by the help desk set up at the polling station and will be allowed to enter accordingly.
