Bhubaneswar: The old disease of the Congress has come out again. The two groups clashed at the Congress building today. The OBC cell was scheduled to meet at 11 a.m. today at the Congress building. OBC cell chairman Vishnu Barik called the meeting. It was to be attended by senior party leaders. PCC president Niranjan Patnaik and other leaders were present. However, the two factions of the Congress from Jagatsinghpur came face to face over the meeting. One group alleged that Vishnu Barik had previously worked for the BJP during the election. So how can he call a meeting? One group filled Vishnu Barik’s room with a group and knocked on the door. There was also vandalism. Fighting broke out between the two groups. Supporters of Vishnu Barik and his opposition clashed, but Rautaray agreed. The congressional hearing about that were exactly where the firing came from. One group also tore down party posters. The PCC president later called both groups to a meeting. “After the investigation, disciplinary action will be taken,” he said.
